3. Collection of general data and information

The website of BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching collects a series of general data and information each time the website is accessed by a data subject or automated system. This general data and information is stored in the server log files. The following may be collected: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites accessed on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using this general data and information, BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimise the content of our website and advertising thereof, (3) ensure the long-term functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber attack. This anonymously collected data and information is therefore evaluated statistically by BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching and further with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our local group, to ultimately ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files is stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.

4. Subscription to our newsletter

On the website of BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our local group's newsletter. Which personal data is transmitted to the controller responsible for processing when subscribing to the newsletter is determined by the input mask used.

BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching informs subscribers at regular intervals by means of a newsletter about offers from the local group. The newsletter can generally only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid email address and (2) the data subject registers for the newsletter. For legal reasons, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address first registered by a data subject for newsletter dispatch using the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation email is used to verify whether the owner of the email address has authorised receipt of the newsletter as the data subject.

When subscribing to the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary to be able to trace the (possible) misuse of the email address of a data subject at a later date and therefore serves the legal protection of the controller responsible for processing.

The personal data collected as part of a newsletter registration is used exclusively for sending our newsletter. Furthermore, newsletter subscribers may be informed by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a related registration, as may be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter offer or changes in technical circumstances. The personal data collected as part of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter may be cancelled by the data subject at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data that the data subject has given us for newsletter dispatch may be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revoking consent, a corresponding link is found in every newsletter. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on the website of the controller responsible for processing or to communicate this to the controller in another way.

We use the service dm-mailinglist.com for sending our newsletter. When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is transmitted to and stored by dm-mailinglist.com. This is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

5. Newsletter tracking

The newsletters of BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in emails sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Using the embedded tracking pixel, BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching can recognise whether and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links in the email were called up by the data subject.

Such personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters is stored and evaluated by the controller in order to optimise newsletter dispatch and to better adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the data subject. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. Data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate consent given via the double opt-in procedure. After revocation, this personal data will be deleted by the controller. An unsubscription from receipt of the newsletter is automatically interpreted by BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching as a revocation.

6. Contact option via the website

The website of BRK Wasserwacht Munich Local Group Unterhaching contains information that enables quick electronic contact with our local group, as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of so-called electronic mail (email address). If a data subject contacts the controller responsible for processing by email or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject is automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted on a voluntary basis by a data subject to the controller responsible for processing is stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. There is no disclosure of this personal data to third parties.

This cookie is automatically deleted when the browser session ends and serves solely to protect against automated misuse of the form. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in website security). Data collected via the contact form (salutation, name, email address, phone, company, subject and message) is forwarded exclusively by email to the relevant department and is not stored in a database.

  • Email address (optional)
  • Password (stored encrypted as bcrypt hash, not in plain text)

Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose.
